Happy New Year
I hope to use this blog in a more useful way this year and provide more information about virtual worlds as and when I get involved in it. I am also undertaking a MSc in e-Learning this year which does involve Second Life so that might be useful!

Secondlife Links
I just found this Wiki - via the Groups in Google. I thought it would be a good idea to have one place where I can post links as I find them.

Secondlife -
I am a member of Secondlife - my 'in world' persona is Kashmir Bimbogami - I have deliberately made my avatar look completely different from me - I thought it would be more fun that way :) When I get a chance to post a picure I will :)
SECONDLIFE AND SOCIAL SKILLS
I have been working on an online questionnaire for gathering information on social skills. I am interested in finding out from anyone how they behave in a variety of situations, especially in those who have used Secondlife and also people who have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.
I have recently piloted this questionnaire and have some excellent feedback which I have used to enhance the questions that I have used. If you would like to take part the link to the questionnaire can be accessed below. Part I is a set of questions about a variety of social aspects. Anyone who takes part can leave their email address so that I can contact you again for Part II - this is purely optional. All responses are very welcome.

Social Skills Study
Hello - my name is Fiona Grindey and I am working on some research into the use of Secondlife. I hope to use this blog to present useful information and research that I can find about Secondlife and its role in the development of education and transferable skills (like social skills).
I work at the University of Southampton as an Education Development Adviser in the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit. I am also an online student with the University of Derby and the research that I am doing is part of my final year project for my Psychology degree. This is my personal blog, I will add to it as I find more information and interesting articles.
